The project was financed by contributions of interested organizations and agencies.
The core bugdet of the project relied on funds pledged by bilateral donors.
The funds were held in a UNEP Trust Fund that was disbursed by DEPI on the
basis of the Project Document and Work Plan. Financial reports to the Steering
Committee and financial contributors were submitted as defined in the activity
schedule, in accordance with UNEP's administrative procedures and UNEP’s
agreements with contributing governments and institutions
